Programming at Willow Chicago is a community of artists who, together, unleash the arts to create transformational moments in the lives of others. Those who serve in this ministry humbly use their artistic abilities and passion for the arts to teach, touch and transform lives. Instrumentalists, vocalists, actors, dancers, writers, and behind-the-scenes people share their time and talents.
Drama Ministry
We believe a well-written and performed drama has the ability to reach people in surprisingly significant ways. Fresh, creative uses of dramatic scenes play a valuable and significant role in the programming of Willow Chicago services. The people who are involved in our drama ministry attend Willow on a regular basis. They feel called by God to use their gifts to serve our congregation. We are looking for experienced actors with strong skills but will also consider inexperienced actors with great potential.
Dance Ministry
Our dancers use their God-given talent in fresh and creative ways to touch people who are far from God. We also believe that dance can play a valuable role in the lives of believers at Willow Creek. We are looking for:
- Strong dance technique
- Ability to express oneself dramatically
Visual Arts Ministry
We believe in a creative use of a wide array of artistic media such as painting, sculpting, photography, computer animation, etc. to reach people in ways that inspire spiritual growth.
Instrumental Ministry
We believe in using music to reach out to people in a fresh and creative way. We also believe that high quality music can play a valuable role in the lives of seekers and believers. The people who are involved in our instrumental ministry are gifted and feel called by God to use their gifts to serve our congregation. We are looking for:
- Ability to commit time to rehearsals, performances, small group
- Strong technical skills and musicianship
- Ability to read charts
Voice Ministry
Solo and ensemble-quality vocalists give their time and talents to serve God and the Church. We are looking for:
- Vocal and stylistic versatility
- Strong musicianship
- Good communication skills
- Ability to read music
- Contagious passion for worship
- Significant time commitment for rehearsals, performances and small groups
