Serving Groups allow us to respond to God’s Benevolence with compassion and care. Whether it’s helping to make Sunday mornings happen by volunteering with FAST, or serving in your community, serving is an expression of God’s love.
We have several opportunities for service:
Volunteer on Sunday Mornings
5Loaves – Join us as we serve and enjoy community with the under resourced individuals in our church. Meet in the lobby of the Auditorium Theatre at 8:30am. To join, please contact Hannah
Breakthrough Urban Ministries - Manna Ministries Program –
Description: Breakthrough Urban Ministries offers you the opportunity to serve their guests, who are staying at their facility for a season due to a variety of difficult life circumstances, through the Manna Ministries Program. Once per month, we will purchase, prepare, and serve dinner to the 32 men who reside at Breakthrough. We will also socialize with the guests and have a brief devotional.
Serving Times: 2nd Thursday of each month 5-8:00PM

Lydia Home Association –
Description: Lydia Home Association offers you the opportunity to support and love children and teenagers who reside in the residential treatment center. One Saturday per month, we will do special activities with forty children and teens. Activities may include:game nights, picnics, sports, movie nights, dance lessons, art & craft projects, cooking lessons, and outings to Chicago landmarks or events.

LaSalle Senior Center –
Description: LaSalle Senior Center offers you the opportunity to serve lunch to 95 seniors in the Near North Community. Every Wednesday, we will prepare and serve lunch to 95 seniors. We will also socialize with the guests.
Serving Times: Every Wednesday 11-2:30pm

Friendly Towers Intergenerational Senior Housing –
Description: Friendly Towers Intergenerational Senior Housing offers you the opportunity to provide service to meet the needs of senior citizens who were formerly homeless. One Saturday per month, we will do special activities and services with 75 seniors. Activities may include basic home cleaning and preparing and serving meals.

Description: LaSalle Senior Center offers you the opportunity to serve lunch to 95 seniors in the Near North Community. Every Wednesday, we will prepare and serve lunch to 95 seniors. We will also socialize with the guests.
